Miss Eagle would remind the Northern Territory Government that the river belongs to the people: firstly, it belongs to Aboriginal people, the traditional owners; secondly, to the people of the Northern Territory; and, lastly, to the people of Australia.
Why charge an exorbitant fee so that the people might know the details of what has been done in an attempt - a good, bad or indifferent attempt - to protect the McArthur River?
Lastly, I would remind the Northern Territory Labor Government that it was not elected by the people of the Northern Territory to carry on like this.
Those who have worked so hard to put it in power and waited so patiently through years of dastardly Country Liberal Party Government do not want this.
