Brothers and sisters, we would not have you ignorant about Halliburton - and KBR - and their activities in Australia. While it may not be possible to get a complete list of their government given contracts in this country, their most famous recent job was the contract for the Alice Springs to Darwin Railway [one of the largest national infrastructure projects in recent times] to design, build and operate the railway for 50 years before transferring it back to public ownership. They do have the confidence of the Howard government who, of course, has a close relationship with Dick and George. I think it is a safe bet that Halliburton or KBR has contracts with the Australian defence establishments and doing a match of military bases in this country with Halliburton/KBR locations in Australia can give a clue to this. For myself, I wonder how long it will be before Halliburton takes over a privatised, corporatised military and undertakes to run wars for a proft.
